Got any code you can share with us? Otherwise I'd have to say it's one of three things:
1) It's a bug in the OS
2) It's a hardware problem
3) It's a bug in Stevens' code,
4) You're doing something wrong

Without looking at the code, I'm just not sure which it is ;-)
