Thanks, but this is a serial-type driver (not ethernet.)
To answer my own question, I found this is set in the modem script
using the CommunicatingAt command! Adding this to the modem script
does not appear to add any calls to the driver, so I think it's just
informational (does not actually ask the driver for a connect speed.)
I have no idea yet how to get the driver to be able to say what the
actual line speed is.
