Hi Susan,
I recently had to implement a networking layer using Open Transport for
OS 9 and OS X. I was definitely able to make OS 9 and OS X work
properly, however I definitely found differences between the two
platforms. You *must* test both platforms extensively, as the OS X
implementation can be sometimes far less predictable (and sometimes
much more tolerant) than OS 9.
My advice: treat OS X as a separate platform requiring the same amount
of testing you'd have given to OS 9. My experience was that you may
have a single set of source code for your application, but you are
running on two different implementations of OT.

I just wanted to make sure that there aren't any issues with
OpenTransport and X before I try to figure out exactly what is causing
the intermitted problems. I hate spending a lot of time tracking down
a problem and then finding out that it is a known issues. Does your
stuff work with wireless networks? I know I have a problem with my
wireless network. The connect to the server gets closed unexpectedly.
I can probably track this down easier then the other problems because
at least I can get it to reproduce.
I will let you know the exact errors that are happening when I find
out.
Thanks,
Susan
