https and self signed certificates?

  • Subject: https and self signed certificates?

I'm working on some CFHTTP code (OS X 10.2) that connects to a server at our client's location. It appears that the test https server we are hitting has a self signed certificate for test purposes, and when my app connects, I get a -9813 error from CFReadStreamGetError.

Is there some way my code can tell CF that it's okay to accept the certificate and keep going (like Safari and IE seem to do)? I can't seem to find anything in the minimalist CFHTTP docs...

Thanks,
Dave
