I don't have an easy answer to this. The MNS code worked for me during testing, and it works for you most of the time. The critical thing is to find what triggers the problem, and isolate a reproducible case. Then we can start debugging.

I solved this. I used an empty string ("\p") for the searchDomain handle, with "01" in the first two bytes, and then the string. This seem to work if I have a search domain in the string, but not with an empty string. Setting it to "nil" when no search domain should be used solved the problem.

Thanks for the hints about Airport v.s. Ethernet!
