- Thread-topic: Problem with ADSL USB adapter in 12 " & 15" PowerBooks with built in bluetooth
Hi list,
I have an ADSL USB modem adapter and driver that's been working very well for about an year under OSX 10.1 & 10.2. I am getting reports from the field that when tested with OSX 10.2 in one of the new PowerBooks (12'' or 17'') that have built-in Bluetooth, the following strange fatal behavior is observed:
"You can select the modem from the list in the network preference pane, but you don't get the right tabs up to configure the modem (i.e. Modem, PPP, etc), you only get Bluetooth configuration options."
The problem does not happen with any other machine, even the 15'' PowerBook with no Bluetooth works fine. Unfortunately I do not have any of these PowerBooks in house and it will take me a while until I can get my hands on one to debug this.
Is anybody aware of this problem and any possible solutions ?
Thanks in advance,
Ronnie
