I didn't find IP_ONESBCAST in the Darwin sources either.

Another clue might be to look at what the Mac OS X DHCP client does.
I believe it generates packets to the all 1's address (according
to my DHCP Server log).

Can you say more about why you need this?

Kind Regards,

- Peter

Hi.

Is there a way to set the UDP broadcast address using the sockets API?

I really need to send to 255.255.255.255, but tcpdump shows my packets going to 192.168.0.255 instead.

Stevens mentions an IP_ONESBCAST option, but I can't find it in the OSX headers.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Mark
