Sending a Quicktime movie?

  • Subject: Sending a Quicktime movie?

Hi,

I'm sending a Quicktime movie via email, and I'm following the protocols for sending attachments as closely as possible. The problem is that when it arrives at the destination machine, it won't open (says it's in a format it doesn't understand). If I zip or stuff the file first, it arrives fine.

I get the sneaking suspicion I need to do something to the movie to make it email-safe first, or that I need to send more data in the email than normal to make it work right there.

Looking at how Mail.app does it, it's sending two chunks. Is one of those the encoded resource?

Thanks for any and all answers you might have.
-Chilton
