Thanks, guys. Up until now, I've been unable to figure out with certainty
if the Carbon main event loop did or didn't Yield. Now that I've got this
information, it looks like "the straw that broke the camel's back" for my
current implementation - I ain't gonna get it to work the way I want it to,
becaue it isn't possible. Looks like I'm going to have to make it with MP
threads whether I want to or not. (And trust me, it's "not". Much as I love
Macs, trying to code for them is a friggin' nightmare anymore because so
much stuff is poorly documented, and/or comes with a bushel basket of
interdependencies with each new API)
<sigh>
Oh well... if it wasn't a challenge, it wouldn't be any fun, right? :)
