what user name for "guest" in an AFP URL?

Hi,

With an "afp:" URL, you can specify a username, which is good. The thing that is a bummer is that I can't seem to figure out what name to use that corresponds to the "guest" AFP user (separate radio button in the authentication dialog). Using "guest@host/share" doesn't do it.

My goal is to not require any user to need to even see the dialog. An interesting side note is that, if a user logs in as Guest, and then makes an alias or dock icon to that folder somewhere, unmounts the share, and then opens the alias/dock icon, no authentication dialog comes up. How to do the same thing with an AFP URL?

This isn't really a programming question per-se, but the Apple folks who know about such things do check out this mailing list. Nothing turned up in the TIL or on Google that I could find.

TIA,
Smith
