Proxy Server Authentication

  • Subject: Proxy Server Authentication
  • From: Ricky Sharp <email@hidden>

I just read the following Q&A:

<http://developer.apple.com/qa/qa2001/qa1296.html>

It mentions that CFNetwork supports proxy server authentication. My question is, if I make a call to the CFNetwork APIs after having set up the proxy properties, how is the authentication handled? Does the OS provide the UI to have the user authenticate (i.e. type their password), or I am responsible for showing such a UI?

Thanks,
