Why MPW (Macintosh Programmer's Workshop) not work in MacOS X?
Is it "classic" program only?
exist MacOS X version?
any solutions?
It is a Mac OS Y (not classic-only) program, for Y<X (i.e., 9, 8,
...).
There is no Mac OS X version. For Mac OS X, use Xcode (or
ProjectBuilder on versions before 10.3). There is a mailing list for
discussions of Xcode (see <http://lists.apple.com>).
There is also a separate mailing list for MPW.
Thank you for this lines :)
I will search Xcode. It's commercial product. isn't?
Xcode is commercial because it comes with Mac OS X, but it does not
cost extra. It is not installed by default, however, so you will need
to install it from the CD/DVD set you got with Mac OS X (or get it from
Apple's developer web site).
I will need migrate my software from MPW to Xcode. It's easy?
because I'm an linux GTK/GDK programmer too :)
Can't help you here, since I know nothing of either MPW or
Linux/GTK/GDK.
Regards,
Justin
