Accessing SMB-share with a fixed path

Hi!

I need to access an SMB-share from my QuarkXPress XTension (plug-in) on Mac OS 10.3.8.

This API accepts a volume reference number, a directory ID and name in structure
when I need to access files on the SMB-share.

I am using FSPathMakeRef, FSGetCatalogInfo, FSpGetDirectoryID to convert
a path (e.g. /Volumes/computer-1/myshare) to the structure mentioned above.

But sometimes the path is /Volumes/computer/myshare instead!

How can I configure my program with a path that always finds the mounted SMB-share?

Thanks in advance.
