I'm having problems with MoreSCF (specifically
MoreSCF.c) for creation of a Dialup (using a dialup modem)
preference. An assert appears if the list of setIDs are all GUID's and I have
"#define WORKAROUBD_RADAR_ID_3024328 1" - (it creates a large negative number
for a setID). If I comment out that define then MoreSCF functions fine and
creates what I desire. But presumably this will fail on early OS's where there
are no GUIDs used in the preferences.plist.
So now the question comes up what if I have a mix
of discreet numeric values as well as GUID's (I guess I go with GUIDs), but this
would probably be undesirable where the preference.plist contains no
GUIDs.
So the question comes up at which point did this
change occur, i.e. which Mac OS X 10.?.? started to use the GUID
approach.
