Hi All,
I'm finally getting around to now implementing this (as posted this
question in Nov), and looking at the AppleScript method while does seem to
do the job, the problem is that I'm going to have Mail.app popup and then
disappear, while I'm iterating the account(s) and creating new ones, and I
don't want any mail retrieval going on which the user might have set at
startup of Mail.app.
So I was looking around I have found/noticed that these accounts are
stored in the com.apple.mail.plist, within the mailAcounts dictionary and in
deliveryAccount dictionary as well, and it looks like the passwords are
stored within the key chain.
So I'm thinking that maybe I should do this instead as this would stop any
problem with mail.app starting up and flashing of windows about while I'm
configuring their machine.
Has anybody else done this also, any problems I'm leaving myself into ???,
also anybody might have any code to share :-). (Would the Apple god's have
any thoughts on this approach in adding in accounts ???)
Thanks
Mark.
