How about if I state it this way:

"Advertisements are made on the all-systems multicast address (224.0.0.1) or the limited broadcast address (255.255.255.255)"

I have never messed with multicast/broadcast messaging, so I'm not sure how this is done.

How do I listen for multicast or broadcast ICMP messages without disrupting routed (which is of course listening for the same thing)?

Thanks.

- Chase
