Significance of errSSLInternal?

  • Subject: Significance of errSSLInternal?

I have a customer who is seeing network failures using my software to connect via proxy to an SSL site.

The error log shows a printout from my code about CFReadStream failing with error domain 0, number -9810 (errSSLInternal).

I am able to connect to the same site using my software from my Mac with no error.

The only other time I've had a customer get SSL related errors was when they had something obvious wrong like an expired certificate, in which case apps like Safari would complain about the expiration for everyday browsing.

Can anybody share any wisdom about the possible causes of an error like this one? Any ideas for diagnostic tools I could put together for the client's machine?

Google is woefully under-helpful for this error ID.

Thanks!
Daniel
