Mark --

Last time I check not too long ago, there was no way to get and add in
more firewall setting/options, does anybody know whether we can now do this
?, or is this still a security issue.

Getting firewall settings isn't hard, if you're willing to gamble that Apple doesn't change file formats. See /Library/Preferences/com.apple.sharing.firewall.plist. (The format changed between 10.3 and 10.4, since 10.4 distinguishes UDP ports.)

I don't know a good way to add or change the settings.

While we're on the subject, it looks like that .plist file doesn't include the setting for 10.4's "Block UDP Traffic" setting. Anyone know a way to programmatically find whether the user has checked this?

Cheers,

-- Mike
