I looked through the AFP source, and it doesn't seem that there's an AFP-specific solution to this. AFP has a lot of infrastructure for setting the socket buffer sizes, but it's not hooked up to anything that you can modify easily (I was hoping that there might be a secret "defaults" setting that you could use).
