1. Start an application found in the Applications->Utilities folder called Directory Access.

2.  There are three tabs across the top; choose "Services" tab.

3. If the panel is locked, click the lock at the bottom left and provide the admin password.

4. Once unlocked, click on the SMB/CIFS table entry and then click the Configure button. You will then be prompted for a workgroup name and a WINS server IP. You don't have to enter a WINS server IP.
