As these questions are more about security than networking, you'd be
better off asking these questions on the apple-cdsa mailing list.
That's where the security experts hang out.

Thanks for the suggestion. Does this advice also apply to questions and
bugs relating to the SecureTransport APIs?

Yup. There are some people on this list with a passing knowledge of SecureTransport, but the experts are over on apple-cdsa.
