Peter,
It is a TCP connection created using the CFNetwork HTTP request
calls. Thus far I haven't been able to find a way from a CFReadStream
back to the IP address of the socket it's using.
Basically I'm just trying to report if there are multiple
connections, which one is getting used. Ethernet, Airport, Modem, etc..
Again, I'm probably trying to do the impossible... because it was
promised by somebody else... ;^)

determine which network interface a connection is using?
If it's a TCP connection, you can request the IP address of the local
endpoint from the socket. Depending on your configuration and what
you
are trying to do, this might be sufficient.
