Regarding UNIX domain sockets, how efficient are they, say, compared to mach ports, or even shared memory with semaphores? I'm strongly considering adopting them for inter-process communications, since I can abstract the local vs remote host case with CFSocket. I was also wondering how efficient these domain sockets were at kernel crossings, vs a custom UserClient? -- Shaun Wexler MacFOH http://www.macfoh.com
