Hello,
Trying to setup 802.1x to authenticate on OS 10.3 and OS 10.4
workstation on the Wired network, against my Microsoft Active Directory
using Microsoft Internet Authentication Service as the Radius server.
Now I have found a bunch of Wireless AirPort documentation, but I cannot
find anything for the Built-in Ethernet Port.
Now what I want to do, and what I am doing on my Microsoft XP
Pro systems, is to deploy certificates via my Active Directory and have
the workstation authenticate using the AD computer object created when
joining AD. The Microsoft workstations work fine, but I know there will
be limitations on the OS X systems, but any documentation will be
helpful.
Now I am using EAP-TLS as the Authentication type, which seems
to giving me an issue on a Mac OS 10.4 system. I had already imported a
certificate, then I went into Internet Connection, and started to
configure 802.1x, but when I disabled all the other Authentication types
and tried to enable TLS I got an error:
"Turning on TLS will cause authentication to fail. TLS can't be enabled
because your keychain does not contain any suitable certificates.".
But it is imported as a login and X509Anchor.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
