Getting currently set wireless network info...

Hi All,

In our application we need to show currently set airport network information(except WEP key) and ask user to set it to the device. For 10.4 and above we have used Airport tool located at "/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Apple80211.framework/Versions/A/Resources/airport". But we need to support 10.3.9 and above. And also its not recommended to use privateFramework tool.

Does any one know how can I retrieve information regarding currently set wireless network?

I have tried using "ioreg -c AirPortDriver -n AirPortDriver -p IOService -w 256 | grep -A44 AirPortDriver", but this won't work on some of the systems(mac books & G5 machines).

Thanks in advance
David
