Have you checked the result CFSocketCopyPeerAddress. The stack trace that you posted is indicative of it returning NULL (which can happen for a variety of reasons; I suspect that one of those is that the underlying socket isn't connected).


Beyond that, can you post a full crash log (without the dyld stuff if it's too big)? All those other fields can be useful sometimes (-:
