CFSocketConnectToAddress() returning kCFSocketError (-1)

  • Subject: CFSocketConnectToAddress() returning kCFSocketError (-1)

A customer is running into a situation where CFSocketConnectToAddress() returns kCFSocketError for some addresses. Is there a recommended way to get more information about the specific error? From looking at the source it appears that the error might come from a connect() call (in which case it should be in errno), but it might also be an issue with the socket or the CFSocket data structure.

Thanks,
