According to one of the most useful document on Apple's support website:

1649	TCP	IP Failover

According to the man page on Apple's developer website:

http://developer.apple.com/documentation/Darwin/Reference/ManPages/ man8/failoverd.8.html

Listen on the specified port instead of the default,
1694. This must match the port used by the master
node's invocation of heartbeatd(8).

Which one is correct?

I would tend to believe 1694 is the correct value.
