Ariport DHCP issues

  • Subject: Ariport DHCP issues

Hello

until May, 17 2007, I was have to connect my mac using the Ethernet
Card and the Airport card. But since May, 17 2007 the Airport card
cannot
get the IP number by DHCP. Altought the network is detected with full
strenght signal.

Here are details from the console

System Preferences(1327,0xa000ed88) malloc: *** Deallocation of a
pointer not malloced: 0x2a2470; This could be a double free(), or
free() called with the middle of an allocated block; Try setting
environment variable MallocHelp to see tools to help debug
May 18 09:32:01 mDNSResponder: Repeated transitions for interface en1
(FE80:-some-numbers); delaying packets by 5 seconds
May 18 09:32:05 mDNSResponder: Repeated transitions for interface en1
(169.xxx.yyy.xxx.xxx); delaying packets by 5 seconds

the System preferences windows crashes as well. But I never get
anymore an IP number from the DHCP using the Aiport card.

What's weird is that everything worked fine until yesterday, switching
from ethernet to airport depending on where I'm sitting.

I'm running a PowerBook Mac G4 (10.4.9) with an Airport Extreme card
driver version 405.1 (3.90.34.0.p18)

What is the problem and what is the fix?

Thanks for your help,

Pierre
