Indeed, check out the System Configuration framework.
Use SCNetworkInterfaceCopyAll() to grab all the interfaces from the
persistent store, and then use
SCNetworkInterfaceGetHardwareAddressString() to access its MAC address,
along with SCNetworkInterfaceGetInterfaceType() to find out the
interface type (kSCNetworkInterfaceTypeEthernet,
kSCNetworkInterfaceTypeBluetooth).
That should get you going.
