Cool.
I know Apple releases a lot of their code open source. I was
wondering if anyone knows if they have their AFP Interpreter (I'm
not sure if that is the word) available open source. Would anyone
know what this would be listed under in the source code listing page?
Apple does not currently publish the source to either our AFP client

Who needs open source when you've got public documentation?
In an ideal world, the docs would be perfect and the source wouldn't
be necessary. This is not an ideal world. I regularly answer
questions for folks who are creating AFP compatible products and need
to clarify various issues. Those clarifications get folded into the
AFP documentation, but that can take quite some time.
Anyway, if you have questions, it's probably best to post them on
filesystem-dev.

Oh, btw, for obscure process reasons, the AFP protocol spec on our
web site is split into two documents:
<http://developer.apple.com/DOCUMENTATION/Networking/Conceptual/AFP/Introduction/chapter_1_section_1.html>
<http://developer.apple.com/DOCUMENTATION/Networking/Reference/AFP_Reference/Reference/reference.html>
You'll need both (-:
