CFFTP 505 error

  • Subject: CFFTP 505 error

I have an error I can't seem to explain when using CFFTP with calls ported directly from Apples source code example. After downloading a directory (with CFReadStreamOpen) and a following call to the same function to download a successive directory I receive HTTP 505 errors anytime I attempt to download files (using the same root CFReadStreamOpen function) from that same directory.

I'm confused because the code works perfectly before I make multiple download directory attempts. As I understand it CFFTP is maintaining an internal persistent reference to the FTP connection so it must have changed something with that connection? I read about the 505 version not supported error and wonder how that even applies here. Any ideas would be a great help. thanks!

Regards,
