Do man defaults in a terminal window to see:
---snip---
defaults [-currentHost | -host hostname] delete [domain [key]]
---sniip--

Please don't do this as it will delete the whole AutoLaunchedApplicationDictionary key, i.e. the list of all Login Items!

AFAIK there is no direct way to delete an entry of an array or dictionary key (something not on the top-level) in a preferences file using the command line.
