I would imagine that your server timed the connection out. Unix sockets will stay open indefinitely unless someone closes them.

If you could run tcpdump on the client machine, you would likely see the server send a FIN after about 30 minutes of inactivity. I can't tell anything more about your situation without more info.

Hi

Standard unix (connect,listen,bind,read,write ...) or open transport(cfm,mach-o)

This happens whwn the connection has idle for about 30 to 60 minutes.

os versions tested 10.2.8 10.3.9 10.4.11 10.5.0 and 10.5.2 10.5.3

There are no packet trace, there has not been any activity on the connection.

The connection just breaks, this applies to 10.5.2 & 10.5.3

What API are you using?

Could you send us a packet trace?

Hi

In 10.5.2 & 10.5.3 my socket connections dropps after about 30 minutes.

I've tried KEEPALIVE on the connnection, but still dissapears.

This applies to unix, open transport, intel, ppc, cfm, mach-o.

Any one know why ?
