Hi, is there any way to know when the network changes?

I'm concerned specifically for regarding network changes on the iPhone, but I think that this question probably applies to OS X in general. When the user does something (or the operating system does it for them, in the case of the iPhone) like change the wireless access point they're connected to from the Airport Menu, their IP address information changes.

Is there any way of being notified when this happens?
