From research on Google, it appears this may be a problem with your VPN concentrator software being too old and thus, incompatible with the native SL implementation.
Try upgrading your VPN concentrator, or just use the Cisco VPN client.

Hi,
As Mac 10.6 X(Snow Leopard) as inbuilt cisco vpn ,i am trying to configure cisco vpn interface.
I have configured according to the steps in the following link
http://blog.brightpointuk.co.uk/connect-cisco-vpn-server-mac-os-snow-leopard
After all configuration when i try to connect to the server,
it asks me to enter user authentication.
When i press ok ,i am supposed to get a new window where i need to enter my cisco credentials but
nothing comes up and after few seconds,it says "Server negotiation failed".
Can anyone tell what has to be done to add cisco vpn interface in system preferences.
thanks in advance.
