Assuming you compress the audio down to 32kbps AAC, then sending to 20 clients would be 640kbps; that shouldn't be a problem.


I'll have to try and see if I do well with TCP and may need to go with UDP if not.

Once the socket's gotten past the TCP slow-start, there shouldn't be much difference in latency between TCP and UDP.
(Disclaimer: I am not a low-level protocol expert)
