SO_NOSIGPIPE has been appeared in MacOS 10.2 Jaguar and has been
continuously available since.
If SO_NOSIGPIPE does not work in 10.5.8, please file a bug report at https://bugreporter.apple.com/

Hi all,
I was recently recommended to use the SO_NOSIGPIPE option to avoid
signals on a Mac OS X based system. I have noticed though that this
seems to work fine on Mac OS 10.6, but when run on 10.5.8 (have not
checked other versions), the socket still generates SIGPIPE. After
looking online, some posts mention that not all versions of Mac OS X
support this option (though most of those referenced early versions
of the OS).
Is there any information as to which versions do support this? I
pulled the code out of the main application, and can post it easily
if the answer is likely to be subtle.
Thanks in advance for any suggests/help,
Robert.
