Network stack order of Interface Filter NKEs

  • Subject: Network stack order of Interface Filter NKEs

When Tiger's stable KPIs were first introduced, each Interface Filter NKE was called in the order it was inserted for both inbound and outbound packets.

  IP IP
  | ^
  v |
  1st NKE 2nd NKE
  | ^
  v |
  2nd NKE 1st NKE
  | ^
  v |
  driver driver

This is not a valid network stack order. I reported this bug ages ago but never confirmed whether it has been fixed (and when). Can anyone shed more light on this?
