The best solution I've found is BLIP, by Jens Alfke.  Marcus Zarra is working on a project called ZSync that incorporates BLIP, but, I think it's still under development and I don't have any experience with it.

Not sure if that's exactly what you're looking for, but, it is a replacement for the TCPServer sample code.
