smallest size of data in Gamekit ?

  • Subject: smallest size of data in Gamekit ?

using gamekit / bluetooth in the typical simple way,

for what it's worth using a server & client, rather than GKSessionModePeer,

and for what it's worth using GKSendDataUnreliable,

What's the smallest size of data you can send?

I'm trying to send as little as possible to save time and bandwidth.

Can you send a byte? A bit?

the key question: -------- is there a certain minimum amount it sends anyway, so there's no point sending less than that?

I could not find any doco on this !

SECONDLY: can you think of anything in the mechanism preventing you from gaming the size part of the message as part of your protocol? in other words, a message of size A, is the "size" of each incoming message solidly-reliable???

Cheers! Johnny
