Hello,
We're creating a tool that manages VPN connections and are currently trying to use the .networkConnect files to create the network services/configurations in the Network prefs pane. This method has proven to be fraught with problems, since we're trying to automate the entire connection process and are having to interact with the Network prefs pane. We're also using the networksetup tool to rename/delete the new service/configuration, but this has its own issues (for one, pptp and l2tp behave differently than ipsec, in that they create new *configurations* as opposed to ipsec, which always creates a new *service*, and for another, we find that after a couple times calling networksetup, that the configd process goes wild and pegs the CPU). So, our question to you is - what is the best way to handle this? I started looking into using the SCNetworkConfiguration APIs, but I'd want to know first that it will allow me to create/delete services for pptp, l2tp and ipsec. Are there any other options?
Thanks much,
