Dear Experts,
I am trying to use a special SSH_ASKPASS tool based on MacOS X Cocoa NSConnection for RPC. Somehow the RPC does not work when the ASKPASS tool is started by SSH. If I start the same tool itself via the command line, it does connect to the RPC service flawlessly.
I use the following line of code in the client. It returns nil if SSH runs the tool on demand (for reading the password). If I run the tool separately via the command line, it successfully connects to the server-side of the NSConnection.
NSConnection *aCon = [NSConnection connectionWithRegisteredName:CSAuthenticationServer host:nil];
I don't know if this is relevant in this case, but but the SSH executable is started by a daemon, which was before started via launchd.
Is there anybody with an explanation? What is the difference between starting the tool itself and letting SSH start the tool on demand regarding availability of NSConnection/RPC?
