  • Thread-topic: default IPv6 route issue when using System Configuration framework

Hi,

For IPv6, I am trying to make my VPN service primary using System Configuration framework. I am trying to override primary service with my VPN service. When VPN client connects, I assign IPv6 address to tunnel interface (a tun device) using ifconfig command and I set IPv6 dictionary (values for keys Addresses, PrefixLength, InterfaceName, Router and OverridePrimary) for VPN service under State:/Network/Service/VPN_SERVICE_ID/IPv6

I always see that my VPN service becomes primary in dynamic store (in State:/Network/Global/IPv6). Once I set IPv6 dictionary for VPN service, values (for keys PrimaryService, PrimaryInterface and Router) in State:/Network/Global/IPv6 are always getting updated with my VPN service information. But I am facing an issue that the default IPv6 route for my VPN service is not always getting added. Sometimes it is getting added and sometimes it is not getting added.

The code is working fine always in OSX 10.6 (snow leopard). But it is not always working in 10.7 (Lion) and 10.8 (Mountain Lion).

Am I missing any steps? Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Viral
