Thank you very much for your info; I’ve tried the _CFHTTPMessageSetResponseURL() function, and it WORKS!
OK. I've updated that bug report accordingly.
This discovery represents both good and bad news.
o The good news is that we know for sure what the problem is.
o The bad news is that I've investigated this in depth previously and, alas, there's no decent workaround. My recommendation is that you simply reimplement Digest authentication.
Look at the CryptoCompatibility sample code for examples of how to do Base64 and MD5 hashing.
