The Multipeer Connectivity on-the-wire protocol is not documented, so the absence of an OS X API means the answer is necessarily no.
I meant, do Macs support the ad-hoc WiFi mode that doesn’t require a base station? And does Bonjour use this mode, so two Macs (or a Mac and an iOS device) publishing/browsing the same service can discover each other?
I won’t ask “will Mac OS support MPC” or “should I file a Radar asking for that” because I know the answers are “no comment” and “sure”. But how about “will Apple open-source the MPC protocol?” Closed network protocols are so 20th-century. And I’m unlikely to use MPC unless it gets some cross-platform support, at least to Mac OS.
