  • Thread-topic: Solving an issue with an 802.1x/OS X 10.10 bug?

I have a strange question (and possibly beyond the scope of this list). We’re battling an issue with OS X and 802.1x networking. There is a bug in version 10.10.4 (and earlier) and 802.1x that causes a failure to reconnect upon waking from sleep. Our current solution is an AppleScript to click a button in System Preferences’ Network pane. I haven’t been able to find a Unix method to duplicate this approach from the Terminal.

With this vague description, I was hoping to gather suggestion(s) about communicating with the panel (or more likely, the API’s underneath the panel) programmatically without having the UI flash in front of the user when the AppleScript runs?

Thank you very much for your time!
