Hi,
I've been playing with FCP XML (version 1) files and had some questions:
When I define the following timecode for a clip and then drag the
file into Final Cut Express HD 3.5 I am able to recapture the clip.
When I use the second xml timecode chunk recapturing does not work.
When I hit 'Capture Project..' the camcorder goes to the beginning of
the tape and then I get an error about invalid timecode.
Can I not use the <string>hh:mm:ss;ff</string> format and expect to
be able to recapture?
Is the value in <frame></frame> just the number of frames from the
beginning of the tape? So 00:10:10;00 would be (10 * 29.97 * 60) +
(10 * 29.97) = 18,2812? (assuming NTSC DV of course)
<timecode>
<frame>18771</frame>
<displayformat>DF</displayformat>
<source>source</source>
<reel>
<name>My Tape</name>
</reel>
</timecode>
<timecode>
<string>00:10:37;26</string>
<displayformat>DF</displayformat>
<source>source</source>
<reel>
<name>Imported Files</name>
</reel>
</timecode>
Thanks in advance for any insight,
todd
