Title: Re: image formats for rendering, etc.
The best sources we have for detailed documentation like that are (1) the headers, and (2) the HTML documentation.
And yes, I know, there really should be something that lies between the HTML docs and the Overview document on the detailedness spectrum. But for now, that's where we are.
I guess I need to lobby even more for a more detailed document.
If you guys weren’t here, there would be no way for me to know the things I’m asking even WITH the headers and HTML documentation, it’s still a bit of a crap shoot for some of the things I’m asking for: like how r408 gets deprecated to RGBA if I don’t support r408, etc. And whether images are premultiplied or not. There is a lot of reverse engineering that would need to be done.
Okay, I’m done now :-)
Pete
