Thanks, Helena. That helps a LOT. My wife is an editor and FCP user. I am a developer and she has asked me recently to figure out a way to automate some of her logging tasks so after looking at AppleScript and noticing that FCP 5.1.x did not have a dictionary I figured I would have to learn fxplug or something to try to automate things for her. The TC project was just something that I figured would be easy to get my feet wet with and give her something she could actually use before I jumped into trying to automate a process in FCP.
Is a lack of AppleScript support in FCP a deliberate omission or is it planned for some future release? If you cannot say, that's fine. Apple's "Funny how a ship can leak from the top" dealio is well known to me :)
